Are the doctors in private practice or employed by a hospital system?
Dr. Hennessey and Dr. Kozakiewicz are in private practice. They are not employed by any hospital system. Their allegiance is to their patients.
Do the doctors have an active clinical practice?
Yes! Over 95% of our practice in engaged in the evaluation and treatment of patients with pain, weakness, numbness and tingling complaints as related to muscle, nerve, joint and disease processes. We are very busy clinically and very appreciative of the opportunity to help others in our community.
Will the doctor charge me to discuss a medicolegal case?
No. The doctors would be happy to discuss a case before a referral is made. Please call us. We have people answer our phones and we pride ourselves in not having a “press one,” “press two,” etc. scenario. We are in the business of helping people and we believe in a higher level of customer service and our medical staff does a wonderful job of answering our phones. Dr. Hennessey and Dr. Kozakiewicz return the vast majority of phone calls within the same business day and all phone calls are returned within 24 hours.
Do you have a medicolegal fee schedule?
Yes. Please call us and by request we would be happy to fax or email you our current medicolegal fee schedule.
Are the doctors available for live testimony?
Yes. Both doctors are willing to testify in court although they are aware that most cases settle out of court. If it is important for you to know that the doctor you hire will be available for live testimony, both Dr. Hennessey and Dr. Kozakiewicz promise to make themselves available and articulate matters in a clear, concise way in front of a jury with good eye contact and in simple terms understood by lay people.
Who do you accept referrals mostly from?
Anyone who calls. Dr. Hennessey and Dr. Kozakiewicz have a reputation for calling it like they see it. Common sense and medical facts are implemented in a detailed, fair and unbiased manner in order to provide medical conclusions. We do not do defense work. We do not do plaintiff work. We are medical doctors and we do medical work!
How long does it take to get an IME scheduled?
In most instances, an IME appointment can be made within two weeks from the time of the telephone call request.
What is the turn around time on a medical record review?
One to two weeks.
Are both doctors board certified?
Yes. Both doctors are board certified in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.
Do the doctors review the medical records?
Yes. Both doctors believe in providing the highest level of medical care without sacrifice. This means that all patients are clinically evaluated by the medical doctors. All medical records are reviewed by the medical doctors. There is no other medical staff involved.
